🌟MEET THE TEACHER – MADDY🌟

We’re delighted to welcome Maddy to our Summer Workshop programme at Roynon Performing Arts!

Having recently completed her professional training at both BIRD College and Urdang, two of the UK’s leading performing arts conservatoires, Maddy brings a wealth of current industry knowledge, exceptional jazz technique and infectious energy to the studio.

Drawing on her experience from West End and cruise line auditions, Maddy understands exactly what today’s industry is looking for and is passionate about helping dancers develop both their technical skills and performance quality.

LYRICAL DANCE – SUMMER WORKSHOP

🌟MEET THE TEACHER – MISS LUCY🌟

We’re delighted to introduce Miss Lucy, Roynon’s Faculty Head of Ballet and Teaching Lead, as part of our Summer Workshop programme.

Miss Lucy trained on scholarship at The Legat School of Classical Ballet before continuing her professional training on a full scholarship at the prestigious Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She later furthered her training at the renowned Merce Cunningham School in New York.

Her professional performing career includes being a founding member of George Piper Dances (now BalletBoyz), touring Europe and performing acclaimed contemporary repertoire by internationally celebrated choreographers.

Alongside her performing career, Miss Lucy has built an outstanding reputation as a teacher. She is ISTD qualified in Ballet and Modern, a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor, and has been an Associate Lecturer in Ballet at the University of Chichester for over a decade.

🌟MEET THE TEACHER – JACK WEBB🌟

We’re delighted to welcome back Jack Webb to our Summer Workshop programme at Roynon Performing Arts.

A graduate of the world-renowned Rambert School, Jack holds a BA (Hons) in Ballet and Contemporary Dance and has taught across recreational, vocational and professional settings throughout the UK.

His impressive performing career includes credits with English National Ballet, the Royal Opera House, Cunard, Carnival, Saga Cruises, Chantry Dance Company and productions across Europe, the USA and Israel.

With extensive experience in contemporary dance, ballet and professional performance, Jack brings a wealth of industry knowledge, creativity and inspiration to every class.

🌟 MEET THE TEACHER – MELISSA 🌟

We’re delighted to share one of our fantastic Roynon teachers, Melissa, is part of our Summer Workshop programme!

Melissa’s passion for dance began at the age of three and has continued to grow through years of dedicated training in ballet, tap, modern and jazz. She has enjoyed great success competing on the All England Dance Festival circuit, qualifying for the Regional Finals on numerous occasions.

Alongside studying Dance at Barton Peveril College, Melissa has continued to invest in her professional development. She is currently completing her ISTD Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Modern and Tap, has qualified as an Acrotrix teacher, and is also a Senior Associate with the prestigious Tap Attack.

Melissa brings energy, positivity and outstanding technical knowledge to every class. Her passion for helping young dancers grow in confidence, develop strong technique and enjoy every moment in the studio makes her an invaluable member of the Roynon team.

At Roynon Performing Arts, we run over 60 weekly classes in dance, music and drama, and we are always delighted to welcome new enquiries from people of all ages and abilities.

Trials opening again next month!

Our classes are hugely popular and, as we prepare for our upcoming Whole School Show, many classes are currently operating on a waiting list. The good news is that it won’t be long before we’re welcoming new students again, with trials and enrolments reopening in April once the show has taken place.

‘Fairest Of Them All’ coming to Fareham Live!

We’re so excited to announce our 7th bi-annual Whole School Show will be happening Sunday 29th March at the awesome new theatre, Fareham Live!

Step into a world of beauty, bravery and belonging in ‘Fairest of Them All’, Roynon Performing Arts’ 7th bi-annual whole school performance and a captivating reimagining of a much-loved fairy tale….

Brought to life by students of all ages and abilities, this enchanting production combines dynamic dance, expressive song and powerful storytelling. When jealousy threatens to upset the balance between good and evil, courage, kindness and truth must shine through to restore harmony.

Featuring striking choreography, moving performances and stunning visual moments, Fairest of them All celebrates individuality, resilience and the power of community. From impressive ensemble numbers to heartfelt solos, the show showcases the hard work, technical skill and artistic growth nurtured at Roynon Performing Arts.

Established in 1981, Roynon is a longstanding provider of high-quality teaching and progression, and this production stands as a proud reflection of decades of dedication to excellence in the performing arts. More than a show, it is a joyful celebration of students of all ages and abilities finding their voice and shining on stage in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment.

Other entertainment and things to do will also include doors opening with Swan Samba, the local drum and movement group who perform at the likes of Utilita Bowl international cricket, Winchester Bonfire Procession and Queens Baton Relay. A raffle will also be held in aid of Roynon student, Olivia. Lots of photo opportunities on the night will be had and a pop-up shop full of goodies!

A magical theatrical experience for the whole family at Fareham Live — where every performer matters, every story counts, and the stage belongs to all.
